King Size Comedy presents Improvised comedy at the Fringe
Greetings earthlings, the time is here for an intergalactic feast of out of this world, “Whose Line is it Anyway?” style, improvised comedy. Set your phasers to “fun” and prepare yourself for the hilarious madness of “The Starship Improvise”
on Sunday 9 August at The Fringe at the Joburg Theatre complex.
Our all female troupe is perfect for this Woman’s Day featuring Captain Chris Forrest and his team, Monique Nortje, Juliette Jenner and Tamarin McGinley, who will take you on a warp speed journey of laughter and insanity as they boldly go where no South African improv troop has gone before.
Starship Improvise is a collective of South Africa’s freshest, funniest and most talented improvisers, doing “Whose Line Is It Anyway” style short form improv. It’s all made up on the spot using suggestions from the audience and is always hilariously funny.
Until now, improvised comedy was a relatively unknown entity in South African entertainment, Starship Improvise aims to bring it into the mainstream, proving that “local is lekker”.
Beam yourself down to the Fringe on 9 August 2009 to see the funniest improvised comedy show this side of the galaxy, all made up on the spot using your suggestions.
